ACCOUNTANTS at Hentons have been helping business students at Laisterdyke Business and Enterprise College in Bradford.

Four accountants from the firm have been mentoring a class of business students.

Waseem Khan, Aisha Parpia, Edward Hayter and Amy Reeves supported the Mosaic Business Enterprise Challenge, which aims to help students learn essential business skills.

Waseem Khan from Hentons said: “We challenged students to create and market a new product. In the process they learn about key business issues such as finance, sales, marketing and production. We had a great class where the students were really engaged with the challenge, hopefully we’ve inspired some future entrepreneurs.”

Yorkshire schools took part in the challenge and the winners will take part in a national grand final, with the chance to win £3,000 for the school and £500 for their own business idea.

Mosaic is a charitable organisation founded by HRH The Prince of Wales.
