Interserve invests in Yorkshire offices after creating 33 jobs
CONSTRUCTION company Interserve has invested a “significant” amount in its Castleford offices, as it commits to the Yorkshire market.
The investment has improved facilities for Interserve’s Yorkshire base.
This follows large projects the company have undertaken in the region. The £43m Factory 2050 for the University of Sheffield has been completed and work is underway at the £13m Kirkgate Market redevelopment.
Interserve has also started on site at the University of Hull constructing the new £25m Allam Medical Building.
The company has created 33 jobs in the region, including five apprenticeships over the past year.
It has secured work worth £259.7m over the past twelve months according to construction sector data provider Glenigans.
John Gittins, divisional director for Interserve, commented; ‘These are not our own figures of course, but they are compiled on an independent basis by specialist Glenigans and they give a sense of how the market is performing at a given point in time.
“To be top of the table is nevertheless something to be immensely proud of. Our growth within the region over the past two years is a credit to the hard work and commitment of our employees.
“Our newly refurbished offices are a reflection of this success and we look forward to continuing to deliver first class projects for all our clients across the region. Our customers like our proactive approach and our non-confrontational, collaborative style of working.”
The new offices were officially opened by Richard Ellis, UK operations director for Interserve.
