Appointments: P+HS Architects; Persimmon; Coles Solicitors

JAMES ALMOND has been welcomed on board at P+HS Architects in Leeds.
He brings a wealth of experience in project management roles across a broad range of sectors including healthcare, housing, commercial, education and retail.
Managing Director Joe Biggs said: “As part of our continuing strategy for future sustainability and strengthening and broadening our scope of service, we are delighted to welcome James Almond to the company. In his new role as an Associate with P+HS, James will strengthen our resource in contract administration and provide additional support to the principal designer role.”
Mr Almond said: “I have known and worked with P+HS Architects for several years. I’m thrilled to be part of the team and looking forward to working with colleagues and clients old and new.”

HOUSEBUILDER Persimmon has announced that Jonathan Davie, non-executive director, will be appointed as the senior independent director following its AGM in April, in succession to Richard Pennycook who is resigning as a non-executive director.
Other board changes include Rachel Kentleton, non-executive director, who becomes chairman of the audit committee, while Marion Sears will be appointed to both the audit and nomination committees.

COLES SOLICITORS, which operates from 10 locations across North and East Yorkshire, has recruited two solicitors to its East Yorkshire locations, strengthening the family, agricultural and commercial law teams.
Becky Brown joins Coles Law from Howells in Hull. She is experienced in family law including divorce, financial settlements, child provision and cases involving domestic violence.
Martin Hewitt joins the firm from Sandersons in Hull where he has recently covered a period of maternity leave.
His career spans several legal firms including Powell & Young of Pocklington, and more recently Harrowells. He specialises in agricultural and commercial Law, specifically farm sales, tenancies and commercial land use including pipelines and wind farms.
Both are based in the Coles Beverley office, with Ms Brown covering family work in Coles’ Market Weighton office.
