University starts hunt for contractor to deliver £29m building

LEEDS UNIVERSITY is on the hunt for a contractor to deliver a £29m building which will specialise in research and innovation.
The planned 100,000 sq ft Innovation and Enterprise Centre will be built off Woodhouse Lane on a plot in the south east corner of the main campus.
Firms are being given until the start of May to submit prequalification documents for the two-stage design and build tender race, said Construction Enquirer.
The university is looking for firms with a track record of delivering office and education projects in the last three years worth more than £15m.
It is also understood that the University is preparing to start tendering for a new £87m science and computing building at its city campus.
