Appointments: Panacea Investment Group, Quod North; Futures.co.uk

INVESTMENT company Panacea has made two appointments to boost its growing team.

Colin Stirling and Ruth Cherry join the Leeds and Harrogate firm’s board.

Mr Stirling has worked for the funds of financial institutions NatWest and Aberdeen and was involved in the two management buy-outs which produced Bridgepoint and Spirit Capital.

Ms Cherry started her career training and the then Coopers and Lybrand, going on to become PricewaterhouseCoopers. Following a spell as a PwC accountant, she moved into corporate finance and banking and was a director at Yorkshire Bank and finance director and menswear and tailoring business Berwin & Berwin.

“They are both fantastic deal originators and have significant experience in deal structuring and investing.”

THE Leeds office of town planning business Quod has been joined by associate Emma Lancaster.

Ms Lancaster joins from planning consultancy Spawforths, and prior to that worked with East Riding of Yorkshire Council.

She has worked with clients in the public and private sector across the North of England.

Tim Waring, director in charge of the Leeds office said: “We’re delighted to have Emma joining us at Quod North, especially given her experience and expertise which are an excellent fit with the broad range of major projects we’re handling in the region.”

RECRUITMENT company Futures.co.uk has been boosted by the appointment of four team members.

Two have joined the manufacturing-focused division: Maria Pignanelli and Gabriella Lloyd.

Researcher Jane Smith joins the firm’s care division specialises in recruiting people to oversee IT enabled change projects in social care across the UK.

Holly Jordan joins the firm’s Education Futures division as a recruitment consultant focusing on schools and local authorities.
