Law firm completes £200m in deals

LEEDS law firm Clarion has had a record-breaking first quarter.
The 11-strong corporate team, led by Richard Moran and Jonathan Simms, has completed £200m worth of deals in the first three months of the year.
Deal highlights include the sale of defence business Hesco to Belgian firm Betafence, with Richard Moran and Rachael Dean acting for the Heselden family.
A team, led by Mr Simms as well as Kaira Clarehugh completed the refinancing of Yorkshire County Cricket Club .
Rachael Stockley was also involved in the sale of fintech business Kypera to Castleton Technology, and Goole-based Simon Gibson Transport, which was acquired by a French logistics provider .
The team was also involved in the MBO of Wakefield’s Greens Power , and the acquisition of Weston Communications by Pinnacle Technology Group.
