LAW firm Gordons has expanded with the appointment of solicitor Jessica Cumming.
Ms Cumming has particular experience in the education, charities, public and private sectors and will support partner Andy Brian in the continued growth of Gordons’ commercial contracts practice and partner Philip Paget in the development of an education team.
Joining the firm from legal practice Wrigleys Solicitors, where she worked as a commercial solicitor for two and half years and before this as a commercial solicitor at Walker Morris, Ms Cumming brings with her a working knowledge of commercial contracts, governance and regulatory issues.
Mr Brian, said: “Jessica brings with her a wealth of experience and I am very pleased to be welcoming her to the firm. The expansion of the team is further evidence of our commitment to further growing and developing our commercial practice.

PROPERTY consultancy Sanderson Weatherall has strengthened its Yorkshire agency department with the appointment of Tom Goode as surveyor.
Mr Goode joined Sanderson Weatherall in 2011 before going on to complete a post graduate conversion degree and gain RICS accreditation. Since 2012 he has held the post of surveyor in the corporate recovery department providing recommendations for recovery strategies to major lending intuitions together with property management, valuation advice and disposals.
In his new role within the firm he will work in the office and industrial agency team with particular focus on instructions for the disposal of freehold and leasehold interests together with acquisition work.
He said: “I’m delighted to be working with the agency team and looking forward to applying the skills and knowledge I have gained in the last five years at Sanderson Weatherall to supporting the department as it continues to grow and strengthen its reputation as one of the region’s most active commercial agents.”

SOUTH Yorkshire-based chartered accountants Sutton McGrath Hartley has been expanding its team throughout 2016 to strengthen its multi-disciplinary offering to clients.
In addition to the core services of accountancy and tax advice, the firm has expanded into new areas in recent years with the development of wills and probate and financial services departments to add to its portfolio of financial services aimed at both business and personal markets, with recent new recruits complementing these departments.
The wills and probate department has two new additions with solicitor Tom Rodgers and business development executive Jayne Thompson.
The accounts department welcomes back Mark Bardwell as senior accountant, while Anthony Roddis joins the financial services team and Brendan Hall comes in as marketing manager.
