Harrogate TV B&B hits the market

A HARROGATE guest house which recently featured in Channel 4’s battle-of-the-B&Bs reality show Four in A Bed is up for sale with a price tag of £685,000.
Owner Marie Lock and her Kings Road bed and breakfast Scotia House took part in an episode of the series which was screened this week and saw the Harrogate hotelier compete with bed and breakfast owners from across the North.
“I got good feedback from the other contestants on Scotia House, especially the cleanliness and my excellent breakfasts, and they loved Harrogate,” said Ms Lock.
Now that the programme has been screened, Ms Lock has decided to put the five-bedroom property, which she renovated herself and has run as a bed and breakfast for five years, on the market.
“It is a beautiful Victorian house and I have so many regular guests who absolutely love staying here, but I am planning to return to my first love of property renovation,” she said. “I will definitely stay here in Harrogate though as I love living here, despite being from York originally: it’s the best town with the nicest people.”
Scotia House is on the market with Croft Residential.
