1. Fish Fillet Feast Festival
Date: 11am – 7pm Saturday 18th June
Location: North York Moors National Park, North Yorkshire
At this year’s fish fillet feast festival see fishermen at work, watch chefs preparing free tasting dishes straight from the barbecue and enjoy delicious seafood from coastal cafés and restaurants. Special workshops will be open for knitting, lantern-making, painting and sculptures.
Entertainment for children is also provided with maritime tales and songs of the sea from traditional storytellers, musicians and fishermen’s choirs. There will be photography exhibitions, street performers and open studios all inspired by the Yorkshire coast.

2. Sedbergh Cycling Festival
Date: Saturday 18th June – Sunday 19th June
Location: Lupton field, Back Lane, Sebergh
Sebergh cycling festival is a two-day celebration of all things cycling. With vintage bike displays, races, mountain bike challenges, live music, a bar and much more, the weekend is set to be a fun-packed weekend for all the family. There will also be a bouncy castle, cinema and entertainment from the trial display team.

3. Father’s Day Brewery Tours
Date: 12pm Sunday 19th June
Location: Northern Monk Refectory
Treat your dad to something special this Father’s Day with a full brewery tour, a complimentary pint of Northern Monk beer and three plates from the Brewery’s new menu. Tours will take place every hour and half past the hour between midday and 3pm.

4. Ballroom dance
Date: 7:30pm Saturday 18th June
Location: Sheffield City Hall
A midsummer’s eve of dancing in Sheffield City Hall’s ornate, historic Art Deco Ballroom with over 100 dancers in attendance.
The City Hall dance floor is one of only two remaining 1930s sprung dance floors in the north of England making it the perfect place to dance the night away with friends and loved ones this Saturday.

5. Wine tour & tasting
Date: Saturday 18th June
Location: Yorkshire Heart Vineyard/ Brewery
With ten acres of fantastic views of vines and natural beauty it’s not surprising that Yorkshire Heart’s tours and tastings have become extremely popular with many different groups, businesses, couples and even hen parties.
Saturday’s tour will include an arrival drink, guided tour of the beautiful vineyard by owners Chris & Gillian Spakouskas followed by a tasting of rose wine, two white wines and two red wines all served with delicious nibbles. Lasts for approximately two hours.

6. Beverley Folk Festival
Date: Friday 17th June – Sunday 19th June
Location: Beverley Racecourse
While British Folk music, both traditional and new, remains at the heart of the festival, the weekend will also feature Americana, World Music, Blues, some Classic Rock and more. The weekend promises to encompass comedy, film and literature as well as a cultural mix for both young and old.
This year’s folk festival is set to have the biggest line up since launching 30 years ago with over 100 acts scheduled to perform over the three days.
To mark the 150th Anniversary of Beverley Building Society they will be launching 150 balloons into the sky at 2pm on the Saturday. Tickets attached to the balloons will include prizes for the first five people to return to the Building Society in Saturday Market.

7. Busker, the Musical
Dates: Wednesday 22nd June – Saturday 25th June
Location: Harrogate Theatre
Next week, Harrogate Theatre will house the World Premier of Busker the Musical, a gritty and moving new production from the creator of the hit musical, Boiling Frog. The performance will be the first ever musical with the theme of homelessness and all proceeds will go to the Yorkshire charity, Simon on the Streets.
