Wheatley FM leads the way with Dogs Trust development

WHEATLEY FM, the Leeds-based facilities management company, has completed the conversion of a residential property into a specialist centre for the Dogs Trust.

Working alongside civil engineering firm McPhillips, Wheatley FM remodelled and renovated the former bungalow.

Providing the design and installation of all electrical and mechanical services and controls, as well as boilers, lighting, fire alarms and underfloor heating, the company completed the build within 10 weeks.

The centre, which has been specially designed to cater for particularly difficult dogs, will run alongside the existing Dogs Trust facility on York Road in Leeds.

Managing director Andrew Wheatley said: “It is really important with jobs like this that you understand the brief. We were not updating or renovating a residential home as you typically do, we were turning a bungalow into a purpose built centre for a leading animal charity.

“We know that these dogs haven’t had the best start in life but we hope that this refurb has gone some way to giving them a good home.”
