Leeds out-of-town scheme sold in multi-million portfolio deal

AN out-of-town office scheme in Leeds has been bought as part of a deal from the £200m Webb Portfolio.

London-based asset managers Xlb Property and Harbert Management have bought City West Office Park on Gelderd Road.

The three buildings, which are 2.4km from Leeds city centre, consist of 93,000 sq ft of office space, with 42,500 sq ft available from agents JLL and Carter Towler.

Lexis Nexis, and Regus occupy the third building. Kitchen manufacturer Alno UK signed the lease on a further 5,000 sq ft to occupy the whole of No 1. In January.

The new owners have not yet announced their plans for City West Office Park but the scheme includes about 6.2 acres of development land.

Xlb Property partner, William Poole, said: “City West represents a great opportunity to add value through creative asset management and refurbishment to realise the full potential of the scheme which is among the best out-of-town office locations in Leeds.”

JLL director of office agency, Richard Thornton, said that “the calibre of current tenants are testament to City West Office Park’s USP,” whilst Carter Towler director Richard Fraser, said the site was a “great all-rounder.”
