Acquisitions add £30m to fast-growth supplies company turnover

AMBITIOUS business supplies and services firm Complete Office Solutions has brought turnover to £80m following a raft of acquisitions.

Complete have acquired SET Office and Corporate Safety Wear, SET Swansea, Bristol-based Ross Office, Plymouth-based Martin Luck Group and Cornwall’s Brewers.

Combined, the companies bring 280 staff (creating a total of 750) and £30m in turnover to the business. They have also increased COS’s presence in five new regions.

Richard Coulson COS chief executive commented; “I’m extremely pleased to have completed these acquisitions. They all fit very well within our national rollout programme and they collectively increase or presence and customer base across the UK.

“Each site is very well structured, the management team and staff are all strong and we are all aligned on our future strategy and we are very much looking forward to working together.

“Our extended portfolio of products and services on IT, Technology, Imaging, maintenance and service will be offered into their existing and prospective customers which should quickly lead to consistent and sustainable growth.”

Over the past year Mr Coulson has expanded Complete Office Solutions with a multitude of acquisitions, with the aim of bringing turnover to £100m.

In 2015 the business was boosted with no fewer than 10 acquisitions .

Earlier this year COS acquired Birmingham-based Taalus Technical Solutions, an £8.5m turnover business which provides IT as well as print and photocopier services.

He predicted at the time that he would be making six further acquisitions, and having done so in just over half a year, there may be more in the offing.
