Boutique salon creates second beauty spot

FOLLOWING a period of rapid growth, Huddersfield boutique hair and beauty salon, Pure Bliss, has expanded next door.
The extension took two months and saw builders knock through into a second unit on Wakefield Road, transforming what was once a popular soft furnishings shop into a relaxing day spa.
The salon’s high-end décor now runs seamlessly through both buildings, with chandeliers, mood lighting and a colour changing panel in the ceiling.
The expansion comes after a whirlwind nine months for salon owner, Sarah Southwell, who opened Pure Bliss in May 2015.
Ms Southwell said: “It has always been my dream to own my own salon, but I couldn’t ever have imagined it would be this popular.
“We’ve each brought a range of loyal clientele with us to Pure Bliss, however we’ve grown significantly as a result of our great location, visually striking salon and word of mouth.”
“So, when the shop next door became available, sadly following the bereavement of the owner, I began thinking about the wider range of wellbeing treatments we could provide.”
The salon has a nine-strong team who now offer clients a complete range of hair and beauty treatments.
Ms Southwell added: “We now have a further three treatment rooms – including a double one for couples or friends to enjoy together – as well as an ambient relaxation area.”
