5 things to do in Yorkshire this weekend

1. Tramlines
Dates: Friday 22nd – Sunday 24th July
Location: Various venues in Sheffield

The hugely popular music festival returns to the streets of Sheffield this year, hosting a combination of local and national acts including Dizzie Rascal, Kelis, The Mystery Jets, Catfish and the Bottlemen and many more. Weekend and day tickets still available.

2. Selby food festival
Dates: 9am – 4pm Saturday 23rd July
Location: Selby town centre, North Yorkshire

This year’s Selby Food and Drink Festival will host a range of food and drink stalls, cookery demonstrations and live street entertainment.

3. Wicked

Dates: Wednesday 20th July – Sunday 21st August
Location: The Alhambra Theatre, Bradford

It has been labelled as one of the greatest musicals of our time and won over 100 international awards and now it will cast its magical spells in Yorkshire. These performances will be the only chance to see the highly popular re-imagining of the Wonderful Wizard of Oz outside of London this year.

4. Harrogate Music festival

Location: Venues around Harrogate, North Yorkshire

This summer the Harrogate Music Festival will showcase the very best of chamber, classical, jazz and contemporary music in a host of venues across Harrogate. Alongside the world class performers will be guest curators, artist residencies, master classes, cross-arts performances, lectures and pre-concert talks.

5. The Great Yorkshire Fringe

Dates: Friday 15th July – Monday 1st August
Location: Parliament Street, York

The Great Yorkshire Fringe returns this Summer, taking over the centre of York with comedy, live music, cabaret, secret balls, story songs, magic acts, open street cinema, food stalls and more.
