Plans for Leeds campus scheme to be unveiled

PLANS for a proposed 15,000 sq ft college campus in the heart of Leeds go on display tomorrow.

Leeds City College is hosting a public exhibition at the West Yorkshire Playhouse for its latest development plan at Quarry Hill.

A planning application is being prepared for the new build college facility, which will be home to Health and Caring Services, Digital and Creative Arts, as well as a new facility for Leeds College of Music.

The project will be funded in part by Leeds City College and a bid through the Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP). If this goes ahead, it is estimated that the new campus will be open for the 2018 academic year.

Quarry Hill would be the college’s second major new city centre site, to add to its new Hunslet Road Printworks development.

The exhibition will be taking place between 3.00pm to 7.00pm in the Priestley room.
