Engineering giant circles for assets of £74m company

ENGINEERING giant Keltbray is circling for the assets of Dunne Group which went into administration last month with the loss of more than 500 jobs.

Now, a number of interested parties have notified their interest in parts of the business, according to Construction Enquirer.

A source said: “A lot of people were interested but it seems the offer from Keltbray is the most serious.”

Keltbray, a £270m turnover business, employs 1,000 people.

Dunne Group suffered major losses on contracts and suffered a “lack of flexibility in funding” needed to keep up with growth.

Administrators at FRP Advisory were in talks with a number of businesses. Brookfield has brought in Byrne Bros at 100 Bishopsgate and One Blackfriars. Getjar is moving in at Mace’s Newington Butts site.
