Sweet treat for Meadowhall as confectionary store moves in

AFTER sweet success in the East Midlands, award-winning confectionery retailer The Treat Kitchen will be opening up in Meadowhall shopping centre.
The store will be officially opened by the deputy mayor of Sheffield and councillor Anne Murphy who will be cutting the ribbon on Saturday 3rd September at 11am.
To celebrate the opening of their fifth UK store, The Treat Kitchen will be giving away free sweet samples to customers throughout the day.
Owner of the family run business, Martin Barnett said: “In fact to introduce our exciting product range, over our first eight weekends we have over 75,000 sweets and chocolates to hand out. That equates to over a quarter of a tonne of confectionery!”
The new store, which will be next door to Millie’s Cookies, will sell over 300 different varieties of confectionery including traditionally made bon bons, locally made seaside rock, 36 flavours of gourmet jelly beans, hard boiled classics as well as their famous Sheffield-made Radioactive Sours.
The Treat Kitchen also produce their own assortment of handmade cream and butter fudge which is all made in store by Martin’s father Patrick Barnett.
Salted caramel, cherry Bakewell, chocolate orange and lemon meringue are just a few of the flavours the store will be offering.
The Treat Kitchen will also host a range of confectionery based gifts such as baking jars, luxury hampers and Belgian chocolate boxes.
