People: Law firm recruits tech specialist; Chambers call two more up; Director addition at agency

LAW firm hlw Keeble Hawson has added to its corporate team with the appointment of Chloe Horrocks.

Ms Horrocks, an intellectual property and IT solicitor, has worked for FTSE 100 companies.

She will be advising mainly private companies on IT, commercial and IP issues, including copyright, trademark registrations and design rights.

She has a special interest in IT law, negotiating software and maintenance agreements and drafting website terms of use and cloud services contracts.

Partner and head of the corporate and business team, Roger Dyson, said: “We have always acknowledged the importance of having a strong IP/IT department and Chloe’s appointment and expertise is further enhancing our services to clients.”

CONTINUING its expansion, Exchange Chambers has added Fiona Clancy and Rachel Webster to its ranks.

Ms Clancy, called to the bar in 2013, joins from 37 Park Square Chambers. She specialises in criminal and prison law, police law and inquests.

Personal injury specialist Rachel Webster originally qualified as a solicitor but will changing direction with her appointment to Exchange Chambers as a probationary tenant. She joins from Lyons Davidson Solicitors.

A DIRECTOR has been appointed at Leeds’ Source Marketing Communications.

Martha Phillips joined the PR agency in May 2015 under Steve Clark, Peter Downey and Daniel Kennedy.

It recently celebrated its 15th year in business.

Ms Phillips’ clients include Whitakers Chocolates, Ultimate Finance, Ellis Patents, Cashino and Beacon Bingo. She also sits on The Firecracker Ball Committee and continues to teach part-time at Leeds Beckett University. Before joining Source, Martha was PR and campaigns manager for the National Apprenticeship Service.
