1. Open weekend

Location: Manor Lodge Discovery Centre, Sheffield
Sheffield Manor Lodge is opening up for a weekend of history tours, afternoon picnics, wildflower safaris, poetry and more. The Manor Cottages, Rhubarb Shed Café, Plant Nursery and the Manor Oaks Farm will also be open on both Saturday and Sunday.
2. Moonlight drive in cinema

Location: The Field, Crossgates, Scarborough
Relive the 1930s in style this weekend at Scarborough’s own drive-in cinema! See Grease, Dirty Dancing or Lion King on the big screen from the comfort of your car with popcorn and drinks delivered straight to your vehicle.
3. Real Ale Festival
Date: Saturday 20th August
Location: Thorganby Village Hall, Selby
The real ale festival is set to be a fun-filled day, with games, live music, bouncy castles and a large selection of real ale, bottled beer, wine and Prosecco. The festival will be hosting their own BBQ, offering up locally-sourced hotdogs and burgers along with a selection of soft drinks and snacks.
This year you can even bring your own gazebo to set up day camp!
4. Foodies Festival
Date: Friday 19th – Sunday 21st August
Location: Ripley Castle, Harrogate
This weekend, Yorkshire foodies will flock to Ripley Castle to experience a wide range of street food from across the globe as part of the UK’s biggest celebration of food and drink.
In celebration of the Olympic host’s cuisine, there will be a special focus on Brazilian street food as well as a drinks theatre, artisan’s producers market, a cake & bake tasting theatre and vintage tea rooms.
5. Vintage weekend
Date: Saturday 20th – Sunday 21st August
Location: Lotherton Hall, Leeds
Organised in conjunction with Leeds Museums & Galleries, there will be live music and a chance to dance, classic cars and games, as well as the vintage fair.
Expect 25 stalls of genuine vintage fashion, homewares, small furniture and collectables from the 1920’s to the 1980’s in the grounds of the Leeds-based Edwardian country house.
