Developer creates 80 jobs at £1m care facility

CARE providers have completed a £1m specialist care home for adults with learning difficulties in Doncaster.
Community Places has been able to build the 16-bed facility in Sprotborough with funding from the Royal Bank of Scotland.
It has three self-contained care units providing permanent and respite residential care.
Community Places runs four other specialist care facilities across Barnsley and Wakefield. 80 new jobs are expected to be created as a result of the opening of the new Sprotbrough unit.
Susan Dunford, director of Community Places said: “Our new residential unit in Sprotbrough is fantastic and will provide much needed care facilities for adults with learning difficulties in the local area.
“The development has been a big project and has required a great deal of investment but I am pleased to say that the new facility is now up and running and we are looking forward to welcoming local families and providing them with the support they need.
“Stephanie Gray from Royal Bank of Scotland has been a great support to us throughout the development process. She has provided excellent guidance since the day we decided to go ahead with the project and has reliably worked alongside us to see the building through to completion.”
Stephanie Gray, relationship manager at Royal Bank of Scotland, said: “It has been brilliant to work alongside Susan and the team at Community Places to support the development of their latest care home. The new facility is outstanding and will provide much needed support to local families and adults with learning difficulties.”
