Sweet addition set to cater for life’s little luxuries

FINE foods brand, FINK is set to open a confectionery branch just a few doors down the road from their popular grocery store after successfully relaunching the business in June.
Owners of FINK, Hugh Fink and Sharon Longcroft will be treating the town to the sweet delights of local independent chocolatiers at their luxury boutique from this weekend onward.
The Sweet FINK boutique will focus on gifts and treats for adults with a hand-picked selection of the finest handmade chocolates, available in traditional flavours as well as more unusual varieties such as earl grey, rosemary and cardamom.
An assortment of other sweet treats, including single origin chocolate bars, biscuits and cakes will also be on offer at the store, in keeping with the company’s focus of independent producers who share their passion for high quality and provenance.
Co-owner, Sharon said: “We’re looking for a mix of local artisan chocolatiers – people like the Guppy’s in York and Lauden down in Leeds, but we’re also looking for beautiful continental chocolates made by independent Italian, French, German chocolatiers.”
The owners of Guppy’s will have the honour of cutting the ribbon on Saturday 1st October as the boutique opens up on the Boroughbridge High Street which is known for it’s thriving independent scene.
“We want to focus on making it part of the scene, there’s lots of lovely shops and we’re only part of it so I think in terms of our future it is about helping pull the town together as a destination.” Sharon added.
Just as in the first FINK shop, partners Sharon and Hugh will keep changing the stock and updating the products depending on the current trends.
She said: “Neither of the shops can stay still, they’re not going to be finished because the chocolates I’m getting at the moment aren’t necessarily the ones I’ll be getting in six months time, because there’s so much out there – lets get out and taste it!”
