“Design and build” focus puts Paragon on track for £13m turnover

VISITOR attraction developer group Paragon have said that a focus on its “design and build” core will see revenues rise significantly ahead of forecasts.

The board of the York-based company now expects revenue for the full year ending 31 December 2016 to be approximately £13.2m, ahead of previous expectations of £11.0m.

EBITDA is estimated to reach £1m, ahead of previous expectations of £500,000.

The company, a holding firm for Paragon Creative which focuses on the design, production, fit-out and licensing of visitor attractions and experiences, said major investment over the past year had contributed to its strong year and that it had high hopes for continued growth.

Mark Taylor, chairman of the Group, said: “I am satisfied with our continued progress. Our team at Paragon has worked extremely hard over the last two years to grow the business while continuing to produce the quality and innovation that is expected of us as a market leader. This year we have also invested heavily in building capacity to prepare us for growth in the years ahead.”

Recent projects include Land of the Lions at London Zoo, The Rolling Stones Exhibitionism at the Saatchi Gallery, Motiongate theme park in Dubai, The Olympic Museum in Lausanne, and the Titanic in Belfast.

Earlier this year it was announced that founder Mark Pyrah would be stepping down after nine months in the role of interim chief executive with development director John Dobson moving into the role.
