Rushbond snaps up Leeds office building

DEVELOPER Rushbond has bought a 19,766 sq ft, four storey building in Leeds from Evans Property Group.

New York House on the corner of Harper Street and New York Street currently has four retail units on the ground floor with 11,500 sq ft of office space on the three upper floors.

Carter Towler and joint agent JLL acted on the sale.

Carter Towler director, Richard Fraser, said: “This has been a particularly satisfying project to work on as both Evans Property Group and Rushbond are longstanding clients of ours. 

“The building is in a really good location and has lots of potential.  It will be interesting to see what Rushbond, who has a proven track record in successful urban renewal, do with it.”
