1. The Great Sheffield Arts Show
Date: Thursday 24th – Sunday 27th November
Location: The Octagon Centre, Sheffield
Sheffield’s annual art event returns this week with a diverse selection of over 1000 exhibits, including oil, watercolour, acrylic, pencil, pastel, digital and 3D pieces. The show has a large, unique gallery showing exhibits from both local and regional artists showcasing and/or selling their artwork. Along with the 30 professional artist and trade stands, workshops and other activities will help to make the show a great day out for art lovers of all ages.2. Coca-Cola Truck tour
Date: Friday 25th November
Location: Briggate, Leeds
The elusive Coca-Cola Christmas truck is returning with an exciting new experience to spread holiday magic across the UK. The iconic Coca-Cola Christmas truck tour kicked off on 17 November visiting 44 stops nationwide, including Leeds this Friday. Visitors will be invited to share the festive cheer and explore a special winter wonderland, before enjoying a can of Coca-Cola Classic, Coca-Cola Zero Sugar or Diet Coke from the famous truck itself.
3. Dance & Dine
Date: Wednesday 23rd November – Tuesday 20th December
Location: Ocean room, Scarborough Spa, Scarborough
Scarborough Dine and Dance has been running for over 60 years and is inviting new members and guests to its event this weekend. The ticket price includes a two course meal, coffee and tea, bingo, raffle and live music and the dancing will be a mixture of ballroom, Latin and sequence.
4. Yorkshire’s Winter Wonderland
Date: Saturday 19th November – Monday 2nd January
Location: St. Nicholas Avenue, Fulford, York
Home to the north of England’s largest and best-loved outdoor ice rink, Yorkshire’s Winter Wonderland is the perfect setting for a festive outing. Along with The Ice Factor ice rink, the event will play host to an alpine-themed café, a licensed bar serving seasonal beverages and a funfair full of vintage rides from the golden era. Santa, his sleigh and giant reindeer will be available for visits too as part of the Winter Wonderland.
5. Live performance with Philharmonic Orchestra
Date: Saturday 26th November
Location: City Hall, Hull
As part of the Battle of the Somme Centenary, the Hull Philharmonic Orchestra will be performing the iconic 1916 film The Battle of the Somme by Geoffrey Malins and John McDowell.
