Celebrity chef to launch prosecco bar in time for Christmas
ITALIAN chef Gino D’Acampo is set to launch his restaurant and prosecco bar well in time for Christmas.
This Wednesday (7 December) the celebrity chef will be opening his restaurant Gino D’Acampo My Restaurant on Park Row directly opposite Jamie’s Italian.
It will be open every day from lunch until late, the restaurant will be complemented with a basement prosecco bar.
The open kitchen will look out on the 150-cover restaurant and deli bar.
The chef is best known for his TV series Gino’s Italian Escape, which is now in its fourth series.
He launched his first restaurant in London My Pasta Bar, before teaming up with restaurateur Steven Walker, founder of Individual Restaurants which is behind the Piccolino, Restaurant Bar & Grill and Bank Restaurant & Bar.
D’Acampo has launched sites in Manchester and London Euston this year.
He said: “When I am back home in Italy, I love visiting cool bars for Aperitivo…an Italian tradition for a pre-dinner drink with friends. I love it. After months of planning for the opening, I can’t wait to welcome my guests to My Restaurant Leeds at this wonderful time of year.”
