Lead Tech set to create 70 jobs with move to former brewery

CUSTOMER generation and digital marketing business Lead Tech is creating 70 jobs in West Yorkshire following a move to the former site of a brewery.

Lead Tech is relocating to Pool Business Park, at Pool-in-Wharfedale from its former base in Otley.It was formerly home to Wharfe Bank Brewery, which entered voluntary liquidation but is set to be revived at a new site.

The move will allow it to create 70 jobs on top of the 50 staff it already employs with 10,000 sq ft extra floor space.

The new roles will be across web design, sales, digital marketing and customer support.

Lead Tech is also planning on increasing turnover to £16.7m by 2019, an increase of 300%.

It works with financial services companies, like RBS, Metro Bank, Hitachi, Tilney Bestinvest, Aldermore and St James Place, to connect them with new customers.

Founders Nigel Borwell and Paul Walsh who launched the business in 2008, have recently concluded a business review and brought in a new management team with whom they have developed a three-year strategic growth plan.

Lead Tech founder and director, Paul Walsh, said: “We have eight successful years and strong fundamentals behind us, but recognised the need for change to really build on that and accelerate the rate of growth.

“Our strategic review, the three-year plan and appointing a new management team were the first steps towards that growth, this move to new offices is the next.”
