TV mill welcomes latest tenant

A COMPANY which offers a bespoke service to interior designers is moving into Sunny Bank Mills, the iconic mill complex between Leeds and Bradford.

Haywoods Trimmings is an expanding company which produces traditional and contemporary tassels, tiebacks, braids, ropes and fringes for leading interior designers throughout the UK and across the world.

Originally based in nearby Rawdon, the company has relocated to the refurbished mills in Farsley, where YTV’s Emmerdale and Heartbeat were filmed.

It has taken 556 sq ft of quality office space in the newly-renovated Old Engine Room on a five-year lease.

During the past six years Sunny Bank Mills, one of the most famous family-owned mills in Yorkshire, has been transformed and is now home to 68 companies who employ a total of 333 staff.

John Gaunt, joint managing director of Edwin Woodhouse, the owners of Sunny Bank Mills, said: “We are delighted to welcome Haywoods Trimmings to Sunny Bank Mills.

“This is an excellent example of a quality business being attracted to a quality business environment. Haywoods Trimmings’ arrival underlines the versatility and flexibility of space at Sunny Bank Mills, which is attracting an exciting breadth of occupiers.”

The joint marketing agents for Sunny Bank Mills are Dove Haigh Phillips and JLL.
