Former nightclub and dance hall in Leeds to get nursery revamp
Nursery group Little People has been given the green light to develop a former Leeds suburb nightclub into a day nursery.
The former Limelight Dance Studio has been empty and redundant for some time, having formerly been home to the Upstairs Downstairs nightclub until it was closed in 2009.
The Armley Ridge Road site will be developed by Cole Architecture, based in Leeds. Planned renovations include new cladding and windows as well as an additional pedestrian access.
Little People Nurseries has several facilities in Leeds and has been operating for 25 years. Its new site will create a reported 13 jobs for the area.
Leeds City Council planners gave permission for the site to go ahead on Monday (23 January 2017).
