West Yorkshire engineering business goes into administration

A Wakefield-based engineering business has been placed in administration.
Emtrade Civil Engineering ceased trading in December 2016 with the loss of all 10 employees and a number of subcontractors on its sites.
Following this, a winding up petition was filed by Hy-Ten, a fabricator of steel reinforcement bars based in Surrey, a major creditor of the firm.
Now, administrators have been appointed to realise the assets in the business.
Paul Whitwam and David Willis of BWC Solutions were appointed by the secured creditor as administrators of the business on February 2, 2017.
Funds were owned on a number of contracts, and quantity surveyors will have to be appointed to deal with the remaining assets.
