Equine specialist chomping at the bit for growth after relocation

A company which specialises in the design and production of horse bits and is a supplier to the US Olympic team has moved to larger premises as it rides ahead to further growth.

Stokesley firm Neue Schule was supported by a funding deal from Royal Bank of Scotland in its acquisition of the Momentum Building on Stokesley Business Park in North Yorkshire to accommodate its rapid growth.

Neue Schule was established in 2007 and supplies products to retailers and distributors throughout the UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and USA and is the official bit supplier for the United States Equestrian Federation and the US National Olympic team.

As part of its product development, Neue Schule has undertaken major research into how horse bits work, as well as the science behind horse and rider interaction.

This has enabled the company to continue to develop new products and has led to the recent formation of AVANSCE, a new company that is launching a world first, tech based product that enables riders to monitor their riding performance and record results on an app for evaluation and development.

The focus on research has also meant that the firm has developed a wealth of knowledge and expertise and as a result has recently launched NS Academy, a teaching academy for students from equestrian colleges and individuals interested in learning more about horses, bits and biting.

Sarfraz Mian, CEO of Neue Schule, said: “It is a very exciting time for Neue Schule.  Not only are sales of our bit products continuing to grow strongly worldwide, but we have just launched the hugely innovative and exciting AVANSCE which is set to make a huge impact on the market and our training academy is also proving to be very popular.

“With so much growth and expansion we had outgrown our previous premises on Stokesley Business Park and were thrilled when a larger unit on the site came onto the market. We love our North Yorkshire location are pleased that we haven’t had to move too far as it is convenient for our employees and the views and ambience we have here are completely unique. The 1200 sq m premises has plenty of room for us to operate from including dedicated space for warehousing, manufacturing, offices and the production of multimedia resources.”

Lesley Cross, relationship manager at RBS, said: “We have been thrilled to support Neue Schule with the acquisition of the new premises.  The business is growing rapidly and needs more space to accommodate the new areas of activity that have been developed.  I am pleased that we were able to work to their tight time frames and help to support their future growth and investment.”
