Kelda set to offload water infrastructure arm

Kelda Group, the sister company of Yorkshire Water, is planning on offloading its non-regulated business.
Kelda Water Services has five contracts across the UK which include water treatment, wastewater treatment and food waste treatment.
The Bradford-based company said they had seen “strong” interest in the market.
A Yorkshire Water spokesperson said: “The Kelda Group has taken the strategic decision to market part of its non-regulated business, Kelda Water Services (KWS). The businesses were first marketed to a select number of organisations that met key criteria.
“There has been strong interest from the market and indicative offers have been received and the binding bid stage has just commenced. None of the other Kelda non-regulated entities are being marketed as part of this process.
“We won’t be making any further comment until we have received detailed offers for the businesses.”
