Developer in JV for Scarborough housing project

Work is nearing completion on a housing site in Seamer, outside Scarborough.

The £2.5m development is delivering 10 homes, which includes barn conversions, townhouses and detached houses.

Developer Applemont is spearheading the development as part of a joint venture with landowner James Stockdale.

The development which will be completed by summer 2017, and has created 30 jobs during the construction phase.

The former transport yard and head office for well known potato haulier James Stockdale has been carefully considered with local planners.

Craig Swales, managing director of Applemont said: “the location of this development alone is almost enough to ensure its popularity. Its ideal for anyone wanting a quality home in a fantastic location which has benefitted from recent investment in shops, schools and local restaurants and is within direct access to the A64 York/Leeds commute. With carefully chosen materials we have blended the new development with the old and traditional look of the village to create a small and very individual cluster of quality new homes”

Applemont is a specialist JV property developer working with a number of local landowners.
