Ardor engineers growth with funding boost

ENGINEERING company Ardor Engineering has revealed expansion plans – including a move to purpose built premises – which the group claims is helping it to buck the economic trend.

Ardor Engineering, now based at Leeds Road in Huddersfield, is independently owned and has been trading since 1974.

The company is a major supplier of precision machined components to the water, oil, gas and defence industries.

Michael Kilbride, managing director of Ardor Engineering, said: “The new premises will offer significantly enhanced purpose built facilities for our new headquarters and I have been delighted that we have been able to move our business to this landmark site in a key regeneration area for Huddersfield.”

The company has seen steady growth since 2004 following a management buyout, helped by Mr Kilbride’s continued investment and development of the business.

Barclays Corporate has supported the expansion plans with £350,000 of funding.

Iain Revolta, relationship director at Barclays Corporate, said: “Ardor Engineering is a longstanding and valued customer and we are delighted to be supporting them in the completion of their new head office – purpose built in the local area.

“It really is a pleasure to see Michael and his team bucking the trend and we look forward to seeing the company go from strength to strength in the future.”
