New business rescue consultancy launched

A NEW consultancy offering specialist advice and hands-on help for companies with corporate restructuring, recovery and funding issues has been launched.
Armitage Jones sees the coming together of leading Yorkshire insolvency practitioner Tony Armitage, former Hammonds chief and TheBusinessDesk.com chairman Chris Jones, and property developer and professional investor Simon Padgett.
According to Mr Armitage, the aim of Armitage Jones is to deliver rapid action to stressed businesses.
“We have brought together expertise in law, accountancy, insolvency, and property, as well as first-hand experience of starting and running businesses that can help firms to analyse business, remedy problems and identify opportunities to recover and to thrive,” he added.
“Our firm’s place in the market is working with businesses that need quick, effective strategic action to make positive changes in their business direction to avoid serious trouble, and we have a boutique offering that will be as much about implementation as advice.”
Mr Armitage said that the Ilkely-based consultancy had already been approached by firms in Leeds and across the North.
