Ogden takes charge at CBRE

JOHN Ogden has been appointed as managing director of global property firm CB Richard Ellis’s Leeds office, replacing Charlie Wardroper.

Mr Ogden is also taking on a broader role as head of office agency for CBRE’s northern region, covering Manchester, Liverpool and Leeds.

Mr Wardroper became managing director of CBRE’s business in Poland in December.

Martin Samworth, managing director of CBRE UK, said: “John and his team have been successful in growing an impressive instruction list which has helped to raise the market profile of CBRE in the North West. 

“As head of office agency he will be able to use his knowledge to create better connectivity across the region for the benefit of both the CBRE business and our clients.”

Mr Ogden will be assisted in Leeds by Richard Sunderland who will take on a new role as operations director. 

Mr Sunderland was formerly managing director of GSD, the Leeds-based Consultancy acquired by CBRE at the beginning of last year.

Mr Ogden said: “I am delighted to be taking up this position in Leeds and to be heading up the office agency team in the North and my experience will provide the business with a great opportunity to  significantly grow market share.”
