Baker Tilly in Hull office move

ACCOUNTANCY and business advisory firm Baker Tilly is to move its Hull operation to Two Humber Quays.

Baker Tilly, which employs 70 staff and has seven partners in the city, is to move to the premises in late April when the office has been fitted out.

The office is relocating from Alfred Gelder Street.

Andrew Mould, managing partner of Baker Tilly’s Hull office, said the move showed the firm was committed to Hull and the Humber region.

Mr Mould said: “With our lease at Wilberforce Court coming to a natural end, we have spent several months looking at alternative locations in the city.

“We feel that Two Humber Quays, with its modern facilities and high profile reputation across the city provides the best option for the firm.”

John Holmes, chief executive economic development body Hull Forward, said: “We are delighted to secure Baker Tilly as the latest tenant at Humber Quays and are appreciative of their continued input as a valuable part of our expanding business community.

“The company’s decision to relocate to Hull’s much sought after waterfront business district again emphasises the quality of the new premises available at Humber Quays, which has really raised the bar in terms of future office development in the city centre as well as setting the precedent for the future of Hull’s newly energised waterfront.”

Baker Tilly merged with Haines Flowers in December 2007, in the largest industry merger of its kind in the Humber region since the late 1990s.
