Pincer move by Bridlington catch

SPANISH diners are feasting on Bridlington lobster – even if
they don't realise it's an imposter that's been plucked
from the boiling pot.
According to Graham Cross, managing director of freight company GX
Danbrit Logistics, around 14 boxes containing 20 live lobsters each
are flying out from Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield Airport
each week.
“A lot of people think they are eating Spanish lobster in
Spanish restaurants, when it's actually the Bridlington variety
that climbs out of the tank,” he said.
But the highly prized shellfish is just one export being shipped
from the airport. Goods such as bulldozers and road rollers are
also being flown to Africa.
Reg Longhurst, general manager of the Cargo Handling Centre at
Doncaster Sheffield said that the amount of freight cargo going
through the warehouse in 2007 has doubled that of 2006.
“We already have a Boeing 7447 booked here on an ad hoc basis
for 2008,” he said.
