Lifestyle Review: Mojo helps warm up the winter

AS the snow continues to fall and the nights get colder and longer, it may appear there aren’t many activities which will lift the gloom.

But what could be better than escaping from the freezing temperatures, peeling off frost bitten coats and relaxing into a cosy seat with a drink in hand?

Mojo in Leeds certainly offers an intimate atmosphere. But saying that, it always has, and it’s been a favourite haunt with the city’s cocktail (and music) lovers for many years.

And now the bar group, which also has an operation in Liverpool, has launched a new cocktail menu which is already proving a hit.

The menu is split into different sections which cater for whatever mood the customer is in, from tall and refreshing ‘sociables’, through to martinis and ‘classics’.

There are also categories including ‘top shelf’ drinks – those made with the finest liquors – ‘fizz’ and wine and sherry.

Mojo has also introduced a number of new alcoholic brands with which to make your favourite cocktail, including a number made in this country, which is all part of the group’s plans to support home-grown produce.

It’s a formula that on this visit to Mojo produced snappy, tasty drinks mixed to perfection.

With the cold snap set to continue and travel chaos still affecting the region, I could think of worse places to be to escape and let the weather have its way.
