Amy Russell

Amy’s experience spans over 27 years in the administration, secretarial and HR sector. Her career started on the Youth Training Scheme where she fell in love with administration, and developed a love of processes and systems and the benefits of having these in place.   She has since worked for a variety of businesses including local government, the NHS, Grant Thornton, DLA Piper, Addleshaw Goddard, and Premier Farnell, among others, before starting her own business in 2018.

She was accepted as a Fellow of the Institute of Administrative Management in recognition of her skills, qualifications and experience.  A finalist in the PA Hub Yorkshire VA of the Year 2019 Award, North East VA of the Year 2020 and The Business Masters Newcomer of the Year 2020,

Amy has been able to increase productivity within businesses, by looking at the systems and processes in place, and making adjustments or introducing new systems etc where appropriate.  She is a firm believer in reducing workload and using the systems to aid this.

Flexibility is important to Amy and this is offered to all her clients and the highly skilled team of associates who support her at Crescent.  By offering a fully flexible online business support option, her clients can adapt as their business needs grow and change.

A keen runner, she regularly takes part in parkrun, and other 5k and 10k road races. She loves collecting racing “bling” – runners speak for medals! To relax she enjoys a good crime thriller or autobiography, as well as a tough jigsaw.  When she can, she loves to travel within the UK and overseas, with her husband and daughter.  When not running, she volunteers at parkrun and other sporting events such as the AJ Bell Triathlon Series held in Leeds.  A regular supporter of organisations such as The Ahead Partnership, she is able to share her skills and experience to high school and sixth form students to help them develop.  Amy has also just started supporting Leeds Trinity University as a Mentor to students.
