Richard Naish

“Helping clients develop and grow their businesses over the long term is what I find rewarding. I build solid relationships with clients by investing time and effort. A journey spanning an initial shareholders’ agreement through private company M&A to IPO, public market fundraisings and public bids may well have twists and turns along the way, but it allows me and my colleagues to gain a deeper understanding of a client’s business and provides a solid platform from which to advise.”

Richard joined from City firm Ashurst and has a varied practice being recognised, in particular, for his public company expertise on issues ranging from corporate governance and FSA and AIM rule compliance to IPOs, fundraisings and M&A. His experience includes working at the London Stock Exchange and the Financial Services Authority and he is a member of the London Stock Exchange’s Regional Advisory Group for Yorkshire and the North East.

At Walker Morris, Richard is one of four partners in the active Corporate Group and heads the Food & Drink Group. He regularly advises private companies on all aspects of corporate law from compliance issues to fundraisings, restructurings, joint ventures and M&A.
