Refund, Repair or Replace? Know Your Business Rights

January is the busiest time of year for consumers returning goods to retailers, both on the High Street and on-line. Getting refunds, repairs and replacements right can be greatly beneficial to a brand, promoting both trust and advocacy. On the flipside, getting it wrong can have far reaching consequences especially when a misinterpreted exchange is shared on social media.

In recognition of this, West Yorkshire Trading Standards work with retailers across the region to provide guidance on The Consumer Rights Act 2015. As part of this guidance, they are planning a series of small training workshops throughout 2018.

The first scheduled training workshop is The Consumer Rights Act for Businesses on Tuesday 6th February 2018. Designed for those who sell goods or provide services to the public, by the end of the session retailers will have a thorough understanding of customers’ rights to help them stay within the law when dealing with a complaint.
