Training for Food Entrepreneurs
You don’t have to look hard to find stories of great British businesses that started life from home. Across Yorkshire there are a number of artisan food businesses who rightly have bags full of ambition to grow their business.
To help entrepreneurial food producers comply with legislation around food labelling, West Yorkshire Trading Standards are running Food Labelling for Businesses training. As a business grows and expands channels of distribution, including selling online and via stockists, it will need to have a thorough understanding of food labelling regulatory requirements.
The Food Labelling for Businesses training covers a number of topics, including:
- The naming of food;
- Allergens;
- Nutrition labelling;
- Ingredients lists;
- Additives;
- Permitted health & nutrition claims.
