High Court gives Notts County Ladies more time to pay tax bill

Notts County Ladies have been given another stay of execution after a High Court judge yesterday gave the club another four months to clear their tax bill.

The Lady Pies were subject to a winding-up order in early February, but were given 49 days to pay a tax bill. Yesterday, that was extended again.

Chairman Alan Hardy was relieved with the outcome.

He said: “I am very grateful for the extra time permitted and now the hard work must continue to preserve the future of Notts County Ladies FC.

“We are working hard to restructure the business to make it more sustainable. It’s a very challenging business model, with low commercial revenue streams making us reliant on sponsorship and ticketing income.

“I have some exciting plans for the ladies set-up, including the implementation of an academy for girls across the county, and we will not let our plans go to waste without a fight.”
