5 things to do in the East Midlands this weekend

World Gin Day
World Gin Day is being celebrate at Leicester’s Space Centre on Saturday, giving you the perfect excuse to learn all about gin whilst enjoying a cocktail, or two. The building is set to be filled with gin producers, hosted gin tastings, a food court, bars and even a walk-through gin experience. M¡longa
An Argentinean celebration is coming to Nottingham’s Theatre Royal this weekend. For m¡longa, internationally celebrated choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, collaborates with a talented cast of 17 performers, dancing tango with a 21st century twist. The show will unveil tango’s deeply rooted Argentinean culture and show how tango has captivated the world. Find out more here.

Aegon Open Nottingham 2017
The Aegon Open Nottingham returns this weekend, as men and women’s tennis combine for what is set to be an explosive event of on-court action. Some of the world’s best male and female players are set to go head to head on the court, with Britain’s number 1 Johanna Konta leading the way for the women and GB Davis Cup star Dan Evans for the men. Music in the Park
Head along to Wistow Hall on Saturday evening for Music in the Park. Visitors are encouraged to take a picnic along to enjoy whilst listening to music by local band Double Yellers and Ratby Brass Band. Thrumpton Village Flower & Garden Festival
The annual Thrumpton Village Flower & Garden Festival is taking place this weekend. The village gardens will be open all weekend for you to explore a range of themed flower arrangements.
