Nottingham creative agencies merge

Two Nottingham-based businesses have merged into a full service in-house print, digital and design agency.

The merger brings together Ginger Root Print, a specialist print service, with design agency Aswellas.

Alex Crabtree of Aswellas said: “I have known Andy [Middleton] and Anthony [Scoon] for a number of years and we have collaborated on a few projects so it made sense to strengthen both businesses by merging into one.

“The combination of expertise complement each other and as a result we are now able to offer a wider range of services including my specialisms of creative and strategic thinking, brand creation and web design.”

The merger will also include a rebrand with new logo designs, website development and signage.

Middleton said: “This is a key milestone for the business and we have never been in a stronger position. With Alex on board, we are able to pitch for larger, design-led contracts as he brings another level of creativity to our services.

“We have created the ‘think tank’ in the office, a creative space for the designers to work and discuss projects. The arrival of Alex has strengthened the design team and collectively they are able to hone their skills under his creative direction.

“In the last year we have more than doubled our turnover and over the last six months we have moved premises to meet increasing demand from our customers, invested in high-tech printing equipment and also doubled our staff, creating new roles to assist with our growing client base.”
