Retail marketing solutions firm Willson & Brown has relocated to Bath Lane Mill in Leicester in a deal brokered by NG Chartered Surveyors.

Bath Lane Mill forms part of the £6.3m waterside regeneration project overlooking the River Soar in Leicester city centre. This project is being carried out by Leicester City Council and managed by The East Midlands Chamber of Commerce.

Richard Sutton, director at NG Chartered Surveyors, said: “Bath Lane Mill is an exciting development for Leicester city centre, rejuvenating a long-neglected area. Both Leicester City Council and the East Midlands Chamber are to be congratulated for driving forward this scheme.

“Willson & Brown had really strong ideas about the style of space they required; they were set on a New York loft-style open plan space which provides really attractive funky office space – not your typical bland corporate city centre box. This space has real personality.

“The space is truly unique. Willson & Brown love the campus-style feel of the Mill and it enables them to develop simultaneous projects for clients.

“It’s been a real pleasure working with Willson & Brown in securing what has become their perfect home in Leicester.”

Paul McWilliam, managing director of Willson & Brown, said: “We love the new offices, they give us an outstanding space with ample room for our growing global team to support our global clients. The riverside city centre location combined with the beauty of listed heritage buildings that have state of the art office facilities create a perfect working environment for us”

Tom Munro at East Midlands Chamber added: “Leicester is undergoing extensive regeneration, specifically around Frog Island and the area around what was the city’s oldest factory, Friars Mill. Regeneration on this scale creates a virtuous circle of new jobs, more people, more housing, new businesses, more opportunity, and more jobs.

“It shows the city is progressing, not standing still, which creates a dynamism visible to the outside world which brings new interest and new investment and more interest – another virtuous circle. It’s all very positive.”

Ian Torr at Cleggs solicitors advised Willson & Brown.
