LSH-sponsored netball team achieves promotion success
Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) ladies netball team has celebrated promotion to the Lincoln Ladies League Premier Division – four years after last playing in the top league.
The team, which is sponsored by the national commercial property consultancy’s Lincoln office, move up from Division 1 where they won 19 out of 22 games last season, scoring 547 goals and recording a goal difference of 310 goals.
Team captain Helen Spivey, said: “We have had a committed team all season and achieved fantastic results. We are looking forward to returning to the Premiership.”
The team’s place to the premier division came after they climbed up Division 1, beating title contenders Legal Eagles 24-23 and winning the final game of the season against Allen Signs 30-17.
Hayley Playle, chartered surveyor at LSH’s Lincoln office who plays goalkeeper for the team, said: “This is the first season we have been sponsored by Lambert Smith Hampton, so it is great news that we are able to report the team’s success.”
At the Lincoln Ladies League 2017 AGM, Hannah Cawthorne, who plays wing attack and wing defence, was also presented with the award for the best player of the season.
The team are now training and focusing on maintaining their form in the forthcoming 2017/18 winter league.
