Profits up at Morgan Sindall Group

Breaking ground at Project Medius

Construction and infrastructure company Morgan Sindall Group, which recently opened an office in Nottingham for its Morgan Sindall construction business, has seen profits rise by nearly 30% for the first half of its financial year.

Morgan Sindall Group’s profits rose by 28% to £31.9m on revenue of £1.42bn, a 9% increase on the previous half year.

In July, Morgan Sindall was appointed to the Midlands Highway Alliance Medium Schemes Framework 3 (MHA MSF3) which is set to account for as much as £500m of infrastructure developments in the Midlands over the next four years. The MHA MSF3 expands the company’s portfolio of local authority frameworks – it now has the opportunity to work collaboratively with over 60 local authorities, on circa £1.7bn of infrastructure and highways projects across the UK.

In the East Midlands, Morgan Sindall has broken ground on a £47m mixed-use regeneration scheme – Project Medius – in Leicester, for developer Charles Street Buildings (CSB). Comprising hotels, commercial office space, and public realm, the contract also includes a programme of major infrastructure improvements to the adjoining roads, which Morgan Sindall is delivering for Leicester City Council.

The business has also opened a new office in Nottingham and was appointed to Scape Group‘s £1.1bn Regional Construction framework earlier this year.
