£3.7m joint venture housing deal signed for Sutton-in-Ashfield

How the new scheme will look

NM Group (North Midland Construction) and Brooklyn Ellis have signed a deal to bring forward a joint housing venture worth £3.7m – the first such venture between the two companies.

Work will begin in September of this year to redevelop an old farm site in Sutton-in-Ashfield, to be completed by July 2019.

Located on the site of the old Roundhills Farm off Searby Road, Sutton-in-Ashfield, the joint venture will see the construction of 11 four-bedroom houses; consisting of a mixture of eight new builds and three barn conversions. Work will include the creation of a new estate road, the provision of all relevant services and extensive landscaping.

Nick Banks, operations director, NM Group, said: “This is an exciting new partnership, one that provides a great opportunity for us to introduce more bespoke, high-quality developments to the Nottinghamshire area.

Sarah Naden, director at Brooklyn Ellis, said: “We are really looking forward to getting the Roundhills development started on site. It is exciting to be partnering with NM Group and we are enjoying working closely with our design team to bring the site forward.”

Salloway Property Consultants, Knights and Browne Jacobson advised on the deal and EKV Design and Rogers Leask headed up the design team.
