East Midlands-based recruitment consultancy Macildowie has taken on its largest group of graduates in a decade after a period of strong growth.

Six trainee recruitment consultants have been employed at the company’s Nottingham and Leicester offices.

Joining the team at its Nottingham headquarters are Steph Leung, Greg Mills, Peter Newman and Ben Wallace, while in Leicester, the graduate arrivals are Jonty Cook and Edward Collington.

There has been a number of appointments to other divisions across Macildowie.

The Nottingham office welcomes Sue Coxon as credit controller, Shelley Rice as senior recruitment consultant, while Tom Mulholland and Vicky Goudge, Michael Keywood and Tom McGeown take on the role of recruitment consultants.

Managing director, James Taylor, said: “It’s great to welcome six new graduates to the team. We have been working hard to ensure our graduate programme helps us to fill an even higher percentage of our clients’ vacancies by speaking to candidates that we perhaps might not have been able to reach otherwise.

“We have made it a priority to ensure that we offer all our new starters an inspiring environment – one that they really want to work in, and that they feel they are joining a team that fits with their own cultural values.

“I joined Macildowie as a graduate more than twenty years ago, so I am really passionate about encouraging the next generation to play an integral part in helping Macildowie to achieve our strategic goals and for each of them to impact from day one. It’s equally important to bring new ideas through external hiring, so our more senior appointments will only add to our high performance culture.”
